Best Picture Oscar Illustration 2019

For six years I have worked on a personal project of illustrating all the Best Picture nominees at the Oscars for the upcoming year. Each film is portrayed by the gold statue in a costume and elements from the film.

In the lead up to the 2019 Oscars I began illustrating some of the statues of films I thought would be nominated. Unfortunately First Man was not on the list of for Best Picture and thus I have a spare illustration below.

I also was super impressed by Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse enough to illustrate it to have it’s own Oscar statuette as it was nominated for Best Animated Feature (and in my opinion, should have been up for Best Picture).
